The Final Chapter of Idaphine's life was spent in Lexington, MS., where she loved to go to the senior citizen building to get a meal and play games and watch her daughters play Bingo, the best thing she loved about going to the center was when they asked her to pray and she prayed with passion and authority until her health took a turn. ![]() Idaphine, along with Lee Sr., took on the responsibility of raising their 2 oldest Grandchildren Michael and Carolyn, and nurtured them as their own. Idaphine enjoyed hosting parties at her home, but her favorite time to host was Christmas Brunch, which started 2 pm and end at 10 pm., to serve family member showing up late to eat the home cooked meal. ![]() Idaphine was a very independent woman who would frequently ride the CTA to go to Jewel, Ford City and Old Country Buffett. She was so dedicated to the care and love of the children that when she went on vacation, she took them with her so that the parents would not miss time from work. Idaphine loved her church family and she was given the title of Mother in 2014. In 2017, she received a Certificate of Appreciation for Faithful years of Service from Bishop Ocie Booker and the Usher Department. She also served as Chaplain to the 1st Jurisdiction Illinois COGIC Usher Department. She later became the Vice President of the Ithiel Conrad Clemmons Memorial District under Superintendent Robert L. She received her training from Mother Cleola Crawford and made sure everyone entering the ministry of the gatekeepers were equipped with knowledge to serve the body of Christ. Idaphine was named after both of her Grandmothers Ida Howard and Josephine Swayze Johnson.
